The Nonprofit Architect

My name is Naya Desai, and I am a rising junior at Downers Grove North High School with a passion for leadership, social entrepreneurship, and community service. I am the founder and president of my school’s Key Club chapter, the Humanitarian Leader for Empowerment Club, and the Vice President of the junior board for the West Suburban Community Pantry. Through these roles, I’ve had the opportunity to organize service projects, lead teams, and make a meaningful impact in my community. I’m especially interested in business and social entrepreneurship where I recently developed my own social enterprise that helps solves the hunger crisis for students in need during the 68 hour weekend gap. This strengthened my passion for using innovative ideas to solve real-world problems and create meaningful impact. Outside of school, I’m a dual-sport athlete in cross country and track, and I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I’m excited to be part of The Nonprofit Architect because I believe every young person should have the resources and support to turn their ideas into action. I look forward to helping inspire and empower other students to create nonprofits that make a lasting difference in their communities.
